The
Tenderloins are an exciting professional comedy troupe from
New York City who specialize in long-form improvisation, short
form improv games, sketch comedy, and filmmaking. For a
slightly longer description, read on.

|
We specialize in
Chicago-style long-form improvisation. The audience gives a
suggestion, and based on that suggestion, 30-45 minutes of
scenes are created. The scenes interconnect using
themes, characters, locations and situations. All
through the troupe's interpretations, all unscripted.

In addition, shows
usually contain 10 -15 minutes of improvisational games, also
known as "short-form" improv. Each game also
incorporates audience suggestion and involvement as a base,
and no short form games are repeated. Some examples are
Dream, Blind Line, and 4-Minute Drill.

The
Tenderloins also make short comedic movies. All aspects of the
production are handled by the troupe, from directing, to
acting, to editing. Projects are constantly in the
works, and reels are available by request. Films thus
far have tackled important issues such as international
espionage, murder and revenge, prohibition, and public
nudity.
The Tenderloins
also write and perform our own brand of sketch comedy. We've
toured South and West, bringing our sketch comedy to the Miami
Improv Festival and the San Francisco Sketch Comedy Festival. You can watch
clips from our movies and sketches in the Gallery.

Remember, there are no stupid questions, just really stupid
individuals.
